A surface built from many hands.
Each mark distinct, yet held within a single plane. Difference gathered, not erased.
The top is composed of individually hand-painted tiles. Every tile carries one gesture, a circle, or a line, laid down in a single pass. Pigment gathers where the brush rested and thins where it lifted, so no two tiles are alike, and none stands apart.
The marks reference ornamentation without belonging to any one origin. They are not borrowed from a place; they are the oldest shapes a hand makes when it is asked to make something.
It is not a pattern of identity, but of coexistence.
The table becomes a field of individual gestures, unified through placement, proportion and restraint, a reminder that continuity does not require sameness. Only proximity, and a shared ground.
